Cambodian workers frequently visit Vietnamese supermarkets.

Sarun is particularly fond of Vietnamese fermented fish sauces. While Vietnamese cuisine was originally introduced to cater to the needs of overseas Vietnamese, it has since gained significant popularity among the locals, especially Vietnamese fish sauces, soy sauce, and dried noodles like bún and phở.

The diversity of Vietnamese fermented fish sauces, soy sauce, and dried noodles like Bun and Pho has made them popular among Cambodians.

According to Ms. Tuong Hoan, the supermarket manager, more than 100 essential consumer goods, with a focus on Vietnamese and Cambodian products, are available at Green Mart. To encourage spending and streamline monthly purchases, the supermarket offers discount cards to its workforce.

Workers have made a swift transition from traditional small shops to supermarkets.
